A little sneak at the intro from Sherry –
“ The word “flourish” means to burst forth, grow, blossom, and then hit the sky. Scripture tells us that we are called to an abundant and flourishing life in Christ. We flourish in a steady, long-lasting sort of way, uninhibited by the seasons and always thriving. We flourish in response to His word. And as we abide in Him, He sustains our growth and makes us fruitful for His glory. With a biblical perspective now in place, I then considered what it meant to live this out. How would this look, practically, in my life and in my current season? God, in His faithfulness, answered that prayer by leading me through an in-depth study of the book of Philippians. Philippians was written by the Apostle Paul, while imprisoned in Rome, to encourage the church at Philippi in their faith. He encouraged them in their commitment to love God and people and, in their doing so, to follow after the example of Christ in how to live out this greatest commandment. This letter was written for us as well. What we believe informs our thoughts and actions and, ultimately, how we live. The way in which we live gives testimony to the truth we have attained. We live what we truly believe.
