Lovingkindness

Brianna is fascinated with some words in the King James Version of the Bible that don’t quite make it into new translations. Her favorite is “lovingkindness.” It means tenderness and consideration, generous affection, a merciful love and kindness that is undeserved. It brings to mind images of flower crowns bestowed instead of thorns, lavish unmerited victory garlands and bouquets of flowers “just because.” For this set, Brianna  juxtaposed animals who are a bit “prickly” with these crowns and garlands of flowers, because it seems a perfect picture of the surprising way God crowns us with His lovingkindness.
