God is right here! He is joy! When the 12 tribes of Israel were divided up and given the Promised Land, the tribe of Levi (the priests) weren’t given any land. The Lord told Aaron, “I am your portion. I am your inheritance (Numbers 18:20). Just like those priests of old, God is still my portion, my inheritance, and He is standing with me, beside me, ahead and behind me. He fences me in with joy.
