Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually! Psalm 105:4

Seek the Lord. I have been whispering this 3 word phrase to myself today. SEEK the Lord. Seek THE Lord. Seek the LORD. Friends, this idea of seeking God is mentioned many times in the Bible. I have been dwelling on this and what God is trying to say to me. What keeps coming to my heart is the promise that comes with seeking His face. The promise is  —  WE FIND HIM. God is such a gentleman. He is waiting patiently for us to just turn around!

But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 4:29

if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry Psalm 40:1

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you James 4:8

And perhaps my favorite:
And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. Luke 15:20

This is the best part of The Prodigal Son Parable. Do you see what happened? As soon as the Father saw that the son had turned back toward him he RAN to meet him. RAN! God wants us near Him. He wants to embrace us, to fight our battles, to hold our hearts. Seek the Lord and live!
