Raise your hand if you find yourself making excuses when asked to do something HARD and scary! Surely, I’m not the only one! I’ve recently been asked to do something super hard for this introvert girl who likes to hide in her art journals, Bible and books. I really wanted to say “no, I can’t do that!” But something stopped me before I replied, and said to really think and pray about it before making such a rash decision. While I was on my daily nature walk/talk with God time, I was reminded of Moses telling God he has this stutter… as if God didn’t already know that, eek! When I got home I took a look at the whole passage of Exodus 6. I saw all these amazing #WOWGOD promises from God… but Moses would miss out on them if he didn’t follow through and obey God. All I could think of was, what promises would I miss out on if I said “NO, I can’t do that!” I thought of all the ladies who maybe need to hear my testimony because they are struggling with knowing how uniquely God created them and how much God wants a real relationship with them. I immediately replied, “YES, I’m honored to do it!”

I’m still totally nervous and scared to take this leap of faith and step out of my comfort zone, but instead of feeling anxious, I have this amazing calm that only God could give me. Just like only God could take away Moses’ stutter to talk to Pharoah to let the Israelites go free.

Of course, I couldn’t just have this amazing talk with God and not document it in my Bible. I had a blast playing with stickers, stamping and watercolors. I wanted the transparency to pop a little because it felt lost with all that would going on behind it, so I took a little white paint and my finger and painted on the back of it before taping it onto the page.

I just saw a Bible journal page tonight on IG that said, “Nothing qualifies you for a job more than God’s invitation to do it.” So glad you shared this, it speaks to me as well.
