If you’re anything like me, you always end up with all these bits & bobs on your craft desk of little scraps & embellishments from other projects. I have several little dishes on my desk that end up full of these little pieces– buttons, wood veneer, discarded stickers, & paper scraps all mixed together like a scrappy trail mix! I’m also the person that uses the products that are right in front me. If it’s within arm’s reach, it’s much more likely to end up on a page. I love little stash-buster projects & I’m going to share one with you today! I’ve made a Gratitude Mini Flip Book from the All the Thanks digital set by Leah Schumacher in the Print & Pray Shop!

For this project, I started by gathering up a big collection of all those little stray bits & bobs in the color palette I wanted. You can tell from the photo above that some of the things I used in my book includes: paint chips, tiny paper scraps, stray printable pieces, tags, fabric scraps, labels, punch-outs, bits of old greeting cards, clothing tags, & branding strips.

I used a gold binder ring from my stash & just started laying pages in of all different shapes & sizes. The more you mix it up, the more texture your book will have. Anything you can punch a hole in can be strung on to that ring! :) I love having stuff hanging out the sides of my mini books too because it gives them a real homespun imperfect feel. LOVE!

Leah’s printable set pieces were sprinkled throughout the entire book which gave it a cohesive feel & added scripture references to this project. Since her set is 4 pages of elements, I had plenty to choose from!

Each page in this book represents something I’m thankful for. They range from being thankful for my supportive family to Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper! HA! Gratitude comes in all sizes. :) I numbered each item in the book for fun too.

I used a “Faith” wood veneer word I had & just put the loop of the F through the ring. It’s fun to dangle little pieces like this from the inside!

Trimming down the Illustrated Faith by Bella Blvd tip-ins & adding a tab to the top makes the most perfect little tag!

That “fall weather” tag was a clothing tag from some shoes I bought YEARS ago. But I could never bare to throw the tag away because of the beautiful zig-zag pattern on it! Upcycling paper bits is so much fun.

How sweet is that speech bubble? It makes my heart feel so full to see that sentiment in this little paper book!

And of course I clipped on one of the Illustrated Faith for Bella Blvd designer clips to the side of the book for a little added flair!

To finish, I dipped into my stash of ribbon scraps to find some pretty bits to tie on the ring. How playful & FUN does it look with these fall colors adorning the top!? *obsessed*

Make one of these little guys for yourself! These books are great to set out on your coffee table for Thanksgiving or to give as a little gift this fall. It’s SO easy & a great way to document your gratitude during this season!

This is so awesome! I was just talking to a friend yesterday about how we sometimes take God’s blessings and gifts for granted! This is a great idea – thank you!
