The Travelers Notebook is definitely my favorite! These little booklets hold joy near and dear to my heart and it’s where I can get creative the most. The other day a wonderful package arrived to my door. It had this amazing devotional insert by one of our own creative team members Gina! The first two days went over Strength, which I loved. I loved the worship for both and it let me get more in depth on how he strengthens me, how I apply my strength to help others, and how I am a part of his Army.
I love simple scrappy pages when I do creative journaling I also love variety and layers. As you can see in my process video, Iwanted to make a page that flaps out. Something that covers the devotional to add a special pop to the insert, but still being able to read the worship and prompts of my answers. I thought it would be fun to use stamps as well as journal on the page.
When times are rough, or we just need the extra uplift, we turn to Jesus. We pray for his guidance, we ask for his strength, and with his power, he uplifts us with his spirit. I wanted to share with you an alternative way on how you can share how he strengthens you. Journaling doesn’t have to be filled pages. It can simply be a few sentences, to a paragraph or so. Just as long as you get your purpose out, there is no limitations or rules on how much you write.
I challenge you to take a peek at a devotional, if you do not have this one, and create a flip or fold out page for you to do additional journaling or repeat inspirational words that you read. It’s so simple, yet it makes such a difference to the eye. And the more you accumulate, the more pages you’ll want to turn and see.
Until next time!
