Today I was listening to worship music and one of my favorite, simple songs began to play. Refiner’s Fire. This easy melody has some very touching lyrics and I immediately thought of Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” I was going to journal some of the lyrics but the verse itself was on repeat in my head so when I sat down to work on this page I decided to put it in the margin. I could really feel God leading me to pray this verse and to dwell on it. I truly desire to seek Him with my whole heart. I am so grateful we have a God of mercy that washes me clean and transforms my heart and mind!

I started out by adding some Liquitex Heavy Body paint to the page and then went to town with some of the papers and stickers from The Genesis and Whatever is Lovely Collections. Guys. Can we take a minute and just talk about the COLORS??? I could stare at these beautiful products all day long and I am so blessed to add them to the pages of my Bible.

The butterflies are hand cut from the paper and glued in with a glue stick. I mixed and matched the stickers to add in the verse to the margin. I finished off the page with a tab and a few drips of Heidi Swapp Color Shine spray.

I hope you are inspired to find a verse this week to pray for yourself! Yes, just for you! It will do wonders for your soul.

Beautiful colors. I love the butterflies. What a neat idea that we are a work in progress and that God creates the changes, creates the clean heart.
