Heather Greenwood is breaking in her new ESV Interleaved Journaling Bible and sharing how she feels about adding a selfie to the name page in her Bible | Illustrated Faith by Bella Blvd Whatever Is Lovely Collection | Illustrated Faith Created to Create Devotional Kit

I will admit, I was a little overwhelmed with where to start when I received my new ESV Interleaved Journaling Bible. I had printed up a selfie I had posted a couple months ago on Instagram and I really thought it would be perfect to insert the photo to document this time in my life. I had also just received the Created to Create Devotional Kit and had cut up all the printables in the stamp set backing. The theme of the kit was just too perfect for a mini scrapbook page for the name page.

I really encourage you making your Journaling Bibles more personal and adding a selfie… I know for me, I’m not a fan of taking pictures of myself, but I’ve learned that my family needs me to. This is your journey that you are documenting and not only does your family want to see your own handwriting and journaling in it, they also want to see pictures of you along the journey.

I loved the verse on the transparency so much and it’s a verse I want to live out so I really thought it was perfect for the name page to remind myself to think of these things and also to remind myself that I’m an artist and this form of art worship is speaking my creative heart language. God created me with a creative heart and I can’t wait to dive into the rest of the pages of my new Bible.

Love it! It would be super cool to add another selfie when you’re finished with this bible or in a few years down the road to mark how you’ve grown physically and spiritually. :)

Thanks for reminding us that the photos are for our families to see. I don’t like taking photos of myself either, but you are right they are for the families to cherish when we are no longer here. Thank you.

I LOVE the selfie and you look so happy! I think it’s a great idea to add what you looked like to what you feel/felt like through your journaling. Pictures are a part of this legacy. Love love love the idea!
