Bible Journaling step-by-step process by Bekah Lynn | Word Nerd Devotional Kit | Defining the word DWELL

This week, I’m sharing a page straight from my notebook, scribbles and all!

If you are new to the concept of a word study, I encourage you to go back and read my last post.

Let’s study!

The first thing I noticed in this verse was the four references to home. We see the words- dwell, habitation, dwellings, and places. That’s a lot! It makes me want to dig deeper and see what message is waiting for us.

In reference to my bible study notes, we can see that the word ‘dwell’ is used twice. However, they do not have the same concordance reference. The first time the word is mentioned, it means to linger, remain, or abide, and in the second use of the word, it means “a permanent place.”

If we go back a bit in this chapter to verse 15, we see that without God’s spirit being poured out into our home and our hearts, we’re nothing but a dry wilderness, there is no peace, and there is no rest.

Yet, when God’s people (‘am H5971- FAMILY!) make Him the center of their home we see in verse 19 that no matter what happens in this world we can keep peaceable and quiet homes because it’s not about calling a certain set of four walls our home, it’s about the spirit inside that home and through Christ we can remain in a permanent place of peace!

Friends, the world thinks it has so much to offer us, but it’s just chaos. Through the Holy Spirit DWELLING in us, Christ provides us with a peaceful and quiet HOME, not only here on earth but in a PERMANENT PLACE, eternally with Him. Revelation 21:4

Let’s Create!

I really loved the black, white and pink theme of my TN page, so I am using that as inspiration for my bible entry.

The verse reference on this card for dwell did not match the concordance reference for my study so I used the Word Nerd book/chapter reference stamp to cover that up and I tucked some journaling behind the card!

Next, I wanted to make sure I had a big, bold and scrappy title and
I wanted to add my concordance ref. somewhere on the page. I used washi tape over the words to this ‘faith’ stamp in the set and voila!

The page felt a little empty and when that happens there are always two options…paint splatters or florals!
