Greetings Illustrated Faith Family!
When I took this picture, I realized how much I love this fat, colorful, beautiful journaling Bible. My path since it’s beginning has not been easy but God has been faithful. He has used the power of His words within this Journaling Bible to change me, encourage me, and bless me.
In fact, it’s hard to believe the Bible Journal is only 8 months old because I am not the same person. I have been changed by the journey. There are approximately 120 entries of wrinkled, tear stained, worship, and truth. There is sorting, seeking, and dwelling within the boundaries of this Bible’s leather cover.
I have shared most of these entries with the community, praying that any time I walked something difficult, I was encouraged, or a truth was revealed to me, it would have an impact and value beyond my heart and my little world. The girl of the past would have hidden these pages. She would have been too afraid to share for fear of rejection. Afterall, an artist’s work is the reflection of her heart and soul. It’s a part of you, tender and vulnerable. Over these fears, God whispered, “Be brave child. You are here for Me, use your gifts. The approval of man is not your goal.” I found I love writing, I love sharing, encouraging, and I am designed to create for Him.
I thought it might be a blessing to share some of my favorite entries. Someday, I will be really tech savvy like Natalie Elphinstone or Andrea Gray and will do a fancy video flip through! But for now, just simple pics, no fancy backgrounds, just pages of truth. If you want to read any of the words that I posted with these entries, you can visit my Instagram.
The beginning entry.
I created this page when I stepped out in obedience with my heart and applied to be a part of the Illustrated Faith Creative Team.
The first night I felt completely swept up in praise while journaling.
More heart praise!
And, YES, do something crazy for Him.
And then came the flowers. The most soothing, delightful gift He could have ever given me. I just love painting them!
My favorite Christmas post.
Easter — He is RISEN! He is RISEN indeed!
Continually sorting and focusing on truth.
Heart Cries.
Impact on my home — a journal page by my son, James.
Let there be light.
A new season begins.
A Word of confirmation.
There you have it. A few pages from my journey. I want you to know you are part of the journey too! So many of you have encouraged me just when I felt like giving up. So many of you have spoken truth over my heart with your posts. We are a tribe, an Illustrated Faith family, and it’s so good because He is so good. Let’s continue on in creative worship and spreading light and truth across the spectrums of social media. I’m game — are you?
Hugs,
amy

Thank you for opening up with us. I too struggle with fear of rejection and your post is very helpful and inspiring. This is such a wonderful way to praise and share. Thank you again!
Michelle –
Many blessings — may God give you courage and wrap you in His unfailing love sister. Thank you for your comment and encouragement.
thank you for sharing, not only your art but your heart as well. so many pages I see are just a verse copied again in the sidebar, but I can tell these were rewritten on your heart and, life changing! this is what I want from Bible journaling. not just coloring or painting, or copying a verse just to decorate it. I want God to change my heart with His Word and I want it to color my life inside and out so others can see it too. thanks, again, for your example and inspiration, I think I can do this now ??
