“The One who leads you, will never leave you.”

That little quote grabbed my heart on first glance at this adorable set from Taylor. I haven’t been able to get it out of my head–or heart–since.

For the past 9 months or so, I have been in an interesting season . I have clearly felt God preparing me for some sort of change or new season. My word for 2019 is grow and here we are, 6 months in to the year. I have felt growth in the first half of the year, but I still haven’t felt that clear leading or shift into this new season like I was expecting. A part of me has felt a little like, “Okay, God. You said you were going to lead me, and now I’m stuck here trying to figure this out on my own.”

But that’s not the truth–AT ALL. I’m not alone. And I certainly am not supposed to be figuring it out apart from Him. He has led me this far and He will continue to lead me. But most importantly, He will NEVER leave me.

As I’ve been reading through the early books of the Old Testament in the Beloved Society Reading Plan, I have read over and over again about God leading His people. God is constantly reminding them and saying, “I’m taking you somewhere new. Don’t worry. Trust me. Follow me. I will not leave you.” Those promises He made to the early Israelites are promises that still remain true for me and you. I love how in Genesis 25:18, God says to Jacob, “I am with you and will keep you wherever you go…For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” The One who leads you, will never leave you.

To create this page, I had a lot of fun using Taylor’s Bold Moves ephemera and patterned paper sets. I loved the look of the title starters but wanted one that said, “lead me.” So I just created my own letters out of the patterned paper! I layered those onto some of the patterned grid paper and included some hidden journaling under the layers.  That sweet river piece fit perfectly into the margin of my journaling Bible and made an adorable backdrop for this entry, printed on clear sticker paper. I put the finishing touches on the page using the Revival Camp stamps under my date stamp and tab cluster. And of course, I wanted that little quote that started it all, featured right at the top of my page. The One who leads you, will never leave you.

Today, I am resting in that truth–His promise. I may not know exactly where He is leading me, but I know I won’t face it alone. I know that He will equip me with exactly what I need for the season I am walking in. And I know that I will not be facing it alone.
