Is anyone else loving the “Worship with Illustrated Faith” playlist that was shared last week? I love finding out about new music or powerful songs from friends in this community, so I’m trilled that IF is making it so accessible!
Today’s page comes from a song not on that playlist, but one that I highly recommend you add to yours! In fact, this song was still recommended to me through Illustrated Faith as the lyrics were already scripted in the printables I used from the Print & Pray Shop (they’ll be linked below).
I knew the lyrics sounded familiar, then when I went flipping through the Psalms, chapter 136 practically leapt off the page at me. The first thing that struck me was how different it looked from the other psalms, the format and the phrasing, the words “His love endures forever” repeated over and over again. Twenty-six times in fact! Talk about trying to prove a point.
It may seem a little excessive at first, but when you think about it, His love is something that we need to be reminded about all the time.
When we’re having a bad day, being reminded of His unfailing love can set us back on the right track.
When we’ve messed up big time, being reminded of His unfailing love can point us to confession and repentance which leads to forgiveness, then we can walk forth in freedom.
Even on the brightest of days, being reminded of His unfailing love can cause the sun to shine with even more brilliance!
What a good God, amen? Constant through the trial and the change, one thing remains: His love never fails.
