How Andrea Gray is setting up her album for Gratitude Documented

Being excited about Fall is something we can all related to! At least for me anyways. The best parts about this transitional time are that life slows down a bit, home gets cozier and we are able to fall in love with the pace of normal life. Isn’t this a wonderful feeling? This slower speed makes it easier for our minds to relax and focus on all the things we have to be grateful for.

Today I am sharing how I setup my Gratitude Documented album using both the Monthly Devotional Kit and the Gratitude Documented Collection. Come on, let’s take a peek!

Before we start, I’m using a 6×8 album and just punching holes in the pieces as I add them. I am using a variety of items with different shapes and sizes to really have some fun!

I like to start off mini albums like this with a fun and funky intro page. Here I’ve used a small paper bag and layered all kinds of stuff on it – patterned paper, a library card, a doily and some fun embellishments!

On the reverse side, I stamped the work THANKFUL using the stamp from the devo kit and added a strip of washi. I wanted to leave this area blank so I can add some journaling here later.

I then begin adding in the 4×6 cards from the monthly kit – starting with week 1.

I am leaving all of the cards blank for now because I want to wait for November to begin going through the prompts and adding my thoughts. Adding fun tip-ins allows for additional room to embellish and for journaling.

One of my favorite parts is this clear cut page that I stapled a chipboard piece to. The acorn serves as a little tab to easily move to the next week!

The acorn shaped tip-ins are soooooo cute! I had to add some hole reinforcers because the holes were a little bit to close to the edge. And the following few pages are just some in between pages using more fun papers and embellishments!

Even a doily can be used as a divider tab! I just can’t get enough of the kit colors with all the pinks and blues!

The final week section here has me feeling all the gratitude. The Bible has been a place I’ve been afraid of for a long time. Until Shanna shared a bible page that was decorated and loved and I have been changed since given that virtual permission slip. So much of my love for the bible and being more comfortable in it has been because of the Illustrated Faith Team and community. Thankful isn’t even a big enough word.

As I assembled this album, and all it’s little pieces that would make for my final project as a Creative Team member for Illustrated Faith, I was drawn to these words from a Print & Pray shop wordfetti set:
listen.
fall into Him.
infinite goodness.
transform.

These are perfect reminders of all the work God has done in my heart over the past 2 years. He has allowed transformation and goodness and it’s all because I found a special and creative way to worship Him.
I will miss and crave the activity and assignments but He is ushering me into a time of rest that I will desperately need. When I get to this prompt toward the end of the month I will be especially grateful I listed to His whispers and took this time for myself.

With that my friends, I say goodbye from this little space. I hope that my time here has been a blessing to you and that you’ve been inspired to try new things and journal about your faith in new ways. Thank you for always being so kind and supportive. I’ll see ya around the community for sure!

Hugs & love!
Andrea
