Revival Camp Process Video by Jillian aka Jillsky | Prayer

Hello, fellow camper! Are you as excited as I am to begin another summer of Revival Camp?! I know I am! Today I’m sharing a process video for the Prayer devotional by Tonya. I opted to set up camp in the add-on traveler’s notebook insert.

This week I’ve pulled some pieces from the Print & Pray Shop to help document my adventures- grid rainbow labels from Elaine Davis and a fun patterned paper from Shawna Clingerman’s set A God That Sees. I also emptied my bag of trail mix from the kit and went to town layering the ribbon, shipping tag and washi. It’s been so fun to see how everyone’s trail mix is different!

For this session of Revival Camp Tonya has us in Psalm 18:6,

“In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.” (NIV)

Tonya starts off by pointing out that women are doers. Um, yes! But she reminds us that prayer is the best do. Afterall, she says, “The gap between our lips and His ears is the shortest distance in all of creation”. I just LOVE that!

She asks us to think about a situation in our life and if we feel anxious. It didn’t take me long to reflect on some of the big things my family is dealing with. Perhaps the most challenging is awaiting the confirmation of my son’s doctor’s suspicion- that my three year old has cerebral palsy. While I certainly have zero control over the outcome, I know Who does. While there isn’t much I can do, I can be advocate for my boy in prayer. And Tonya reminds us that, “through the peace and comfort of the Holy Spirit, our prayer is more effective than our do.”

Please know that I am praying for you and your son and the family as you await the doctor’s final diagnosis. BTW, my husband’s BFF growing up had cerebral palsy and he had a very long and productive life. He passed away last year (we are 65!) ❤️?❤️?❤️?
